My most run query will be our monthly donors. The query ran smoothly in web view, I like the UI under the different tabs.

  • @Crystal Bruce Active Sustaining donors! Overall, I love the look and feel on Query in Webview! It's been a long time coming!

  • @Crystal Bruce
I run the gifts received from the previous day to check for entry accuracy and any other thing to make note of, it runs well and is easy to chare in webview.

  • @Crystal Bruce I regularly use several queries, but today I ran the batch query I use for exporting data to merge with thank-you notes. It ran smoothly and was easy to use."

  • @Crystal Bruce My new favorite is Cleanup - No Constituency Code because it helps identify records that were created through Event registration forms.

  • @Crystal Bruce End-of-Day I run “Today's Daily Gifts”. The movement of the options tab is a nice add.

I've created a duplicate address query today. We have so many family members with the same address that creating this query will help with our future mailings in postage. I like the ease of setting up the query on the web view and reviewing the data. I plan on using this as an audit on a weekly basis.

  • @Crystal Bruce Preferred Name Update because online doesn't add and sometimes I forget and I like it to be updated for online communication needs.

  • @Crystal Bruce
I have a query I use each month to reconcile with our Finance Department. It runs quickly in the web view, however, I miss the ability to export a query list. Will this feature come back?

  • @Crystal Bruce
I frequently run a LYBUNT query, I do wish the export function was available in NXT as the outputs are somewhat limited in terms of using the results practically without having to create a subsequent list or export in DB view.

  • @Crystal Bruce
I run several queries each month on portfolios. I did notice the web view loaded the cumulative giving information faster than the database view.

  • @Crystal Bruce, I open a new tab for just the queries - keeps them handy! The functionality is the same and as others have said, they run smoothly. Non-constituents is a query I use a lot - especially when entering new students & parents this time of year.

My current go-to query in webview is one that helps maintain a current list of giving society members. I like that options are part of the natural flow (so I don't forget to check how soft-credits are handled, especially) and that I can send another user a link to the query rather than relying on them to find it in a sea of other queries.

  • @Crystal Bruce
My go to query is alumni lists for different functions and communications. I would classify myself as a novice. I never used the data base view; so am learning on the web view. I am eager to continue to use it more and more.

  • @Crystal Bruce I run a gift attribute query weekly to make sure the attributes are entered and correct. I really like how easy everything is to see in the web view. No straining on my eyes. ?

  • @Crystal Bruce
I am still learning but I would say our most common or go-to query is the Action query to make sure we are up to date on stewardship, etc. Second would be event donors.

  • @Crystal Bruce I have several but I ran the one looking to see who gave $5,000 cumulatively to make sure they have a fundraiser on the account.

  • @Crystal Bruce my most commonly used query is a weekly gift query. This allows me to share a weekly gift report with gift officers and create a mail merge in word for acknowledgement letters

  • @Crystal Bruce
I looked for my often-used Schools Liaison (alumni from a particular secondary school who graduated from our university this year) query. It took me a moment to find the ‘Search by name’ function from the Query homepage. This would be my most common way of searching for existing queries - could this be made more prominent?

In Query Editor, I like the ease of shifting the criteria up and down, adding brackets etc. I do miss being able to view more options on the page all at once. I know the font in database view was tiny, but it was really helpful to be able to see more options on the screen at one time. It is helpful to have the Options tab present there at the top.

In the Results tab, again I miss being able to see more columns on the screen at one time. Could there be a way to adjust the user view for size? It would also be useful to have the scroll bar along the bottom of the screen rather than the top.

I love the feature of copying a link to the query. This is great.

  • @Crystal Bruce
A frequently used query is viewing our current parents. I appreciate how easy it is to change the Output Column Headings, especially for fields that are buried and have a more obscure name.

  • @Crystal Bruce
My most commonly used queries are looking at different key metrics for our organization's dashboards. I prefer to use query for this, over reporting, because I like to change the parameters around and really dig into data by doing that.
Running these queries in Web view, I will agree with something I have seen said already - the font size being dynamic/larger in general is AWESOME! LOL I also think the sorting feature for criteria or output fields is easier to use, of course. My queries ran surprisingly fast (I will admit, I am used to Web view being slower to load certain things when compared to Database view, so this was a good sign to me.) I appreciate that it has been built out to replicate the DB queries, Lists just weren't cutting it for some of my needs.

  • I run the query to find any members who have given above a particular threshhold and are very near entering a giving circle. We use this to communicate with donors and let them know that a small bump will get them many more benefits.

The new interface is great. It is much easier to adjust date crteria than in database view. Unfortunatly we are still not getting the same results as we do in database view.

Credit SC too needs more work. Great progress on Webview Query but still needs some work to reach the same functionality as Database View @Crystal Bruce

  • @Crystal Bruce

My go to query is the FY25 PAID GIFTS query. I access it by checking the “Recent queries only” box or by searching for it in the "Find by name" box.

  • @Crystal Bruce Hi, I wanted to know how many of a specific CON Code had been added. Plus, I ran a query to see how many outstanding Ack Letters we have. Easy enough (more modern view). Especially liked how I could look at the “next and previous" records. I would VERY MUCH like to find queries by the last time I used/ran the query! AND I am excited to use the Merge!! I have A LOT of Quey clean-up ahead…. in addition to learning!

  • @Crystal Bruce my most commonly used query in webview is “Former Pupil Opt-Ins” which lists all our alumni worldwide who haven't opted-out under the UK's GDPR legislation. I much prefer webview to database view as it's more user friendly and interactive, however, for in-depth more complex queries I would typically defer to database view. The previous iteration of webview was great for simpler queries so I'm excited to see what the revised version of webview has to offer!

  • @Crystal Bruce I wouldn't say I have a most common query. I create them regularly to use in global changes to tidy up our data, but the experience has been much more user friendly in the web view. In particular, the ability to share the link directly with others and export straight to my downloads folder. ?

  • @Crystal Bruce
We are new to query in webview and our most commonly used query is our daily bank report, seconded by our credit card reports. These are quite simple queries which are then used to create lists in webview, then exported to excel and sent to my finance team. it is one less step to run everything in webview rather than starting in database view and then turning to webview for lists. I do wish we had reports and “real” exports in webview!

  • @Crystal Bruce We run a query weekly to pull gifts that need to be acknowledged. I created this query in Nxt and checked it against my database view. It looks very clean and I think we will like running it weekly in Nxt.

  • @Crystal Bruce
I often run a query to see Constituents who were added today or updated today. I'm so pleasantly surprised out how similar web view is to database view. I think the transition will be much smoother than anticipated.

  • @Crystal Bruce
    Last Week's gifts
