  • @Crystal Bruce new to my organization so I don't have a most common query yet, but I did set one up with donor zip codes that I will need at a later date. Found query in web view easy to use with similar functionality to database view.

  • @Crystal Bruce so many database issues to clean up, so many queries to run. Working on No Constituent code queries.

  • @Crystal Bruce I ran a query that I use monthly to help reconcile with our Finance Dept. It worked just as well as it normally does. I have been using web view query more and more and I have only struggled with the merge feature not working. I love the include/exclude feature, as well as the radius feature for address based queries.

The one feature I miss in web view query is the ability to search for queries using the date they were last run instead of when they were created. Many queries were created a long time ago so this feature is a little deceiving. I did have to look in database view for the name of the particular query before I ran it in webview. I did utilize the favorites feature for the reconciliation query to make it easier to find in the future.

We have a lot of unused queries from various former and current staff and I struggle remembering query names. Due to limited time I try to move those not in use to an archived folder, but there are so so so so many. I do delete some of the older ones, but again time constraints prevent this.

  • @Crystal Bruce I use a query to reconcile donations to bank statements. The main issue I have is the time it takes for an online donation to post. It may come in for one month and post in another which can throw things off for accounting.

  • @Crystal Bruce I run Direct Mail queries. It seems to be quicker in Webview.

  • @Crystal Bruce I run a gift query daily for batching donations. In web view the query doesn't seem to export well with the summary gift information I'm asking for.

  • @Crystal Bruce Currently using query to do data health checks on gifts and constituent codes. I like the look and the results are pretty quick.

  • @Crystal Bruce I like the ability to easily rename output column headings and move them easily up and down. It was quicker for this specific weekly gift report query. I need to use export to get additional data.

  • @Crystal Bruce I run a dynamic gift query several times a week to verify the number of receipts that need to be generated. So far, so good. Results pull up fast and NXT has lots of “clean lines” in the report screens/lists. Wondering if there is a plan to add a little more color and/or color options?

  • @Crystal Bruce Every morning I run a query of new gifts from the day before (or on a Monday, the weekend). Doing it daily helps us stay on top of things.

  • @Crystal Bruce
A query that we use often is one for a partner company that calls our "Lybunts" and asks for a gift and updates their information. We are also cleaning up our database and have been running many queries on things that a student worker could easily fix/correct. Overall the experience has been good.

  • @Crystal Bruce We run a “first-time donor” query often. So far I'm liking query in web view. Seems easier -it's all a matter of what you get used to!

  • @Crystal Bruce I have several queries that I run to help clean-up our data.

  • @Crystal Bruce, I run several cleanup queries. I ran the most used this morning, it runs correctly, but I'm not a fan of cleaning up in NXT, because I use “Load Defaults from” in Database View to update constituents and I don't see that it is available in NXT.
