My most frequently used query is ‘new record’ checker - to ensure new records are being added have the correct address format. It ran smoothly and the new layout makes it cleaner and easier to navigate and scroll across the details in the results.

@Crystal Bruce I use a webview Query to pull a list of credit card transactions which will then list in the output the funds that those transactions supported.

@Crystal Bruce I created my deposit validation query in NXT that we use after entry to validate all gifts for the day. I believe I found everything required and it ran without issue. Yay!

@Crystal Bruce, like many others in this thread, I use a new constituents added query to check that all was entered correctly and to make sure they are added to our email list if they provided an email address.

Overall, I like that we can see a lot of fields at once, but I wish there was a way to open the constituent window and move it to another screen so the query was still visible.

@Crystal Bruce, I quite often run a list of newly posted gifts. I look for larger gifts to see what is moving the needle in our fundraising efforts.

Overall, I like the ease and the intuitive process to set up a query. Navigation is better than in the database view.

@Crystal Bruce I ran some of my most commonly queries in web view. It will take take to get used to it and I still feel like database view has a better query function than web view.

I created a query to run the gift details for gift batches to match BBMS disbursement reports so they can be properly reconciled. It works much like DBV with the exception of being able to include any batches created in DBV. Once we are able to process recurring pledge payments in Webview, this should work perfectly for what I need.

@Crystal Bruce We have a donor who passed away this year and the memorial gifts in her honor are going into an endowment that was started by her family years ago. One of my most frequent queries lately has been one to see all gifts made in her name. While I really kind of love DBV for most things, I'll admit this query is easier in Web View. The quick export feature is a nice touch.

@Crystal Bruce Probably the gift entry review query. Where we could require fields in the database view, we have to double-check everything was entered through RE NXT.

@Crystal Bruce I'm starting to use Query in Web view now more than I ever did in DB view as it feels more accessible to me now. Most of our needs are covered by Lists, but Query has really come in clutch when needing to reference different types of records in a way that List can't support. Our latest example was pulling list of Donors in specific states that gave during a specific time period.
Once all the criteria fields are located it is a really fast process to gather the data we needed.

@Crystal Bruce I run two queries around pledges and payments multiple times per week: Unpaid and > 4 Months and Payments to Apply to PL.

Both are giving me a few challenges that aren't necessarily related to Query. First, web view is much slower than db view so I have to wait for the green dot to finish pulsating. Second, I can't find where to Terminate an Active pledge in web view, which is the point of the first query I listed. Even writing it off, which we don't typically do, doesn't terminate the pledge. I'm still on the hunt as I'm admittedly not a very savvy web view user for daily tasks.

@Crystal Bruce We have used it to pull TY Acknowledgements so far. I am excited to dive deeper into Query in WebView as it is much more similar to previous databases I have used. As I am fairly new to BB, having tools available in NXT has helped me transition and learn smoother!

A lot of my queries are connected to export, so as of right now the most common ones I do not run HOWEVER, in collaboration with my Fundraisers, I have helped them run their Recent Donations by Date queries and our favourite feature is the ability to go to the Next record without ever having to leave a record and doubleclick to get into the next one, like in database view Query. This has saved them a lot of time, and I have created one off queries for myself when I need to fix something on multiple records specifically in webview query so that I can use this feature of clicking Next to get into the next record - it saves a lot of time!

@Crystal Bruce I am using the webview Query as much as possible. I love that you can export to your download folder and I love that you can paste up to 2000 records now. However, I think there is room for improvement. I filter by appeal in almost every report/query and having to click “load more” is time-consuming. I also used to be able to sort by the Appeal ID so I could easily exclude any appeal ID that began with “EV”. Webview does not offer an easy solution to do bulk includes or excludes for appeals.

@Crystal Bruce The query I use most is used to get a mailing list of some sort together. I think exporting the list is so much easier in web view that database view.

The query I use every day is an income query. Web view makes it easier to download, to see and make changes on the gift or the donor. From there I can create a mail merge excel for communicating via email or USPS with the donor.

@Crystal Bruce I run a lot of queries and the most common are lists of some sorts - email lists, address lists, donor lists, the lists are endless. What has made a real difference in web view query is the ability to paste 2000 records as opposed to 500 in DB view. What a difference!

@Crystal Bruce My most commonly ran query in webview is our Unique Event Participants query. Every time I run it I have to export it, so having the quick and easy Export button that exports it to .xlsx is such a timesaver for me!!

I am an old school RE user and spend nearly my entire day in database view. While I see my queries in web view, I have not tested any of them. So, I do not have a go-to in web view.

it worked fine but it changed the format of the Name field. I had it set as F/L and it updated to L/F

I'm used to Database view with queries - but I've pulled my most common query in web view and it was a joy! I loved being able to download it with one button! So much easier to export! It takes some getting used to but I'm liking it.
