  • @Crystal Bruce I have honestly never shared a query with a colleague. Lists definitely. I guess it's too soon to tell. Seems like more work at the moment but I'm sure it will make more sense later.

  • @Crystal Bruce
This is my favorite feature of webview Query so far. I get more information in Query vs Lists, and since it's dynamic, I can send the link and let them view current results, vs. having to update the static query in DBV to refresh the List in webview.

  • @Crystal Bruce love this feature. It is a user-friendly feature that I have been waiting for.

  • @Crystal Bruce sharing worked fine. It is a nice added feature!

  • @Crystal Bruce Cool feature. Instead of telling folks where to find the query, I can send them a link directly to it!

  • @Crystal Bruce
This is my favourite new feature of Query in Webview. It will make it much easier for our database team to get information to our fundraisers, without having to use lists.

  • @Crystal Bruce
This is probably my favorite reason to move over to Web View - the ease of access for everybody else! Sharing lists and now queries with a link is so easy, I am the only one on my team who consistently uses DB view, and trying to walk people through how to run queries without me was sometimes tricky just because of the tedium, regardless of skill level. This rules (-:

  • @Crystal Bruce

Using the copy link to share a query with my colleague(s) was very easy because my colleague(s) only had to click on the link to access the query instead of searching for the query. The process is time saving.

  • @Crystal Bruce No more having to type out instructions of where to find the query and what it does as the link takes them straight to it and they can read it in the options tab. We are all loving this feature and it aligns well with M365 and the link sharing we use for all of our other docs.

  • @Crystal Bruce
This was SO useful!! I have to send query names quite often and it was really nice to just be able to copy and paste the link rather than the name!!!

  • @Crystal Bruce
I shared the link with a co worker who runs the letters using a query weekly. It is very simple to share the link and for her to click and export. Very quick process.

  • @Crystal Bruce
So easy to share! Love being able to share constituent lists so easily for their review!

  • @Crystal Bruce This is one of my favorite new features in query. It is so easy to copy and send important queries amongst coworkers. I created a “database clean-up” schedule in excel and can paste the queries directly next to the task descriptions and share with the team. This allows us to easily navigate to a project without having to dig through (in our organization’s case) a heavily populated query folder.

  • @Crystal Bruce This is great. At least I don't have to help them navigate to the folder and then the name of the query anymore. Sometimes that can be a hassle, especially if you have a good number of queries with almost similar name patterns.

  • @Crystal Bruce This is super easy to use. I can't wait to implement RE NXT this fall. Game changing.

  • @Crystal Bruce

Shareability? It was very easy to complete and share. This is a wonderful feature, and I am so very happy that they thought to implement this. How will it help? Well, no more screen shots! Now I can easily share the results of a query with the team. This will make for better collaboration, discussion, and less wasted time. If we are remote, it will be easy to understand which query to look at. When we are onsite together, there will no longer be a need to hover over shoulders. ?

  • @Crystal Bruce, this is a good question, as I was going to submit a case to BB support. Recently, I shared a query link with my colleague, but she was not able to open the link and kept receiving the blank page. And yes, before you ask - I also checked the query options, there were permissions to run and modify!

  • @Crystal Bruce
The query was indeed easily sharable. This will certainly reduce headaches of walking colleagues through a file path to get to the query and streamline productivity.

  • @Crystal Bruce. Nice, eliminates screenshots for me, but I wouldn't use it all the time. I still have users who only want to see the finished results in Excel

  • @Crystal Bruce I love being able to share a link to a query! At our organization, we're used to sharing SharePoint links when we want to share documents we've created. It just makes sense that we would continue sharing links to access each other's work.

  • @Crystal Bruce
the sharable links means up-to-date data is available to all, without further cross team interaction.

  • @Crystal Bruce
Super nice. I love the webview queries

  • @Crystal Bruce

I already use this feature a lot.

  • @Crystal Bruce
Sharing the link was very handy when sharing info with a person less familiar with navigating the new query set up. The only follow up item was to click on the ‘results ’ once the link is opened.

  • @Crystal Bruce very useful! especially if there are many queries with similar names

  • @Crystal Bruce Seems easy enough!

@Crystal Bruce I have actually done this a few times already. Copying the link to share is super easy, especially since I can do [Ctrl]+[K] to paste a link onto highlighted words. It's also nice because I can share the specific query rather than saying “go find query named this in this particular folder in database view.”

  • @Crystal Bruce sharing via the link is helpful for troubleshooting or reviewing queries instead of having to list where I can find the query, I can just use a link.

  • @Crystal Bruce Saves a lot of time.

  • @Crystal Bruce, it was very easy. I was able to share the link in Teams. I discovered that it brought my colleague to the exact same spot in the Query editor that I was on, rather than simply provide her with the exported results. I can see this helping reduce the need to tell my colleague where to find something and what name I called it.
