I would like to see more about using power automate for database audits (i.e. find an email missing @ or where gmail is misspelled). Specifically, how to switch from exports and reviewing output to using power automate to export and email me to review the output.

  • @Crystal Bruce Wow, so many great suggestions already mentioned! I've recently promoted to a manager role and have handed off the RE database responsibilities to a new hire. For me, sessions on nonprofit leadership, management, and challenges facing the nonprofit sector would be more beneficial. While all the aforementioned database tips/tricks, Power Automate, and transitions to web view sessions would be most beneficial to my new hire. I also agree with the sentiment on less 3rd party vendor sessions that are sales pitches in disguise, but I certainly understand there's an obligation to give those vendors that time on account of their sponsorship of BBCon.

  • @Crystal Bruce We would love to attend sessions on Scheduling in EMS. All aspects of scheduling. We are excited to see the Education Management session selections for 2025.

  • @Miki Martin Ask them for some screenshots of what you created. Maybe they'll be nice. ?

  • @Alex Wong These are all great topics. I'd add them to my agenda today.

@Mark Guncheon I think I may go to the user group Facebook page and see if there's a recording there of when I shared them. If not I'm not sure I can get screen shots but it's worth a shot.

  • Hi all! Our All-Stars, Sunshine Reinken Watson and Carlene Johnson, are answering any questions you may have about submitting a speaker proposal for bbcon. You can ask questions from today until Thursday.

Looking forward to bbcon2025 in Philadelphia~ GO EAGLES! I would like to see a session on how to create different Dashboards in Grantmaking. Also, a session with Heather Hiscox (author of No More Status Quo). I was on a webinar with her last week (Why We Get Stuck and How to Get Unstuck). It was very enlightening! @Ray Borkman

I've never been to bbcon before, but might get an opportunity to go this year with my director's support, I'd love to learn more about insight designer. We see a lot of potential in custom dashboards for our team to streamline a lot of the custom data points my director wants and the potential to eliminate a lot of manual report pulling that helps here keep a pulse on our progress and projection.

I'd love to see a how-to session for queue users on how to make the switch from queue to utilizing query api.

@Crystal Bruce I likely can't get to BBCon in person this year due to to international challenges, but if I were going, I would have submitted something for how to implement a great prospect management system for orgs new to doing that using the existing tools in NXT.

@Jessica White I think @Alex Wong might be submitting something like that for either #BBCon or #bbdevdays

Another session/maybe more of an innovation hub idea - I think a lot of people would find it helpful to have an Ask an Expert rotation for Power BI, Power Automate, SKY API Add Ins, and Power Apps. I think a lot of Blackbaud users are excited about the possibilities with these tools, but don't know where to get started for their specific project. I know there are sessions where people showcase what they have done, but this would be where people can go up to an expert and say here is what I'd like to build, walk me through exact steps to get started.

I would love to assist in working that booth for Power BI & Power Automate, but would also love to be a visitor to the other two that I struggle with. I have attended sessions on tile add ins and am so excited about them but even with the documentation online I struggle to get anywhere. I am the type of learner where if you walk me through one real life example one on one it sinks in and I can go forward on my own, and I know something like this would help others with similar learning styles.

  • @Suzan Swartzentrover Yes, not only more virtual Suzan, but being able to access recorded sessions and materials for longer time frame after the conference is over. Thank you is in order also for making these available to begin with. Best advertising for BB is users who know how to kick the tires and switch to all wheel drive!

  • @Crystal Bruce
Marketing coworker would love a deep dive session into the new constant contact integration. All features that will be available, how it compares to other Blackbaud marketing software (Luminate, etc)

@Crystal Bruce, I second a lot of what has already been mentioned by the power users in this group; they're all great ideas!

One area that I didn't see mentioned (though I may have missed it) is the pledge functionality, especially when they cannot be automated (to my knowledge) the way recurring gifts can be. There are a lot of workarounds needed, so having some best practices to ensure pledges are processed most efficiently and aren't overlooked would be helpful.

Sounds like a good session to do

Submitted a proposal for this, titled: Transform RE:Queue to Query API Automation

I think that's a good idea, though I'm not sure how much interest there is.

@Erik Leaver maybe can help coordinate this. I can help with Power Automate, Power BI, Adaptive Card, SKY API, SKY Add-in (I remember there were questions around FULL page add-ins), PowerApps, etc.

I posted a template last year I think, but for checks like missing campaign and appeal in gift, but the template can be modified to do more, such as audit for email. Check it out and see if you want to try it: https://community.blackbaud.com/forums/viewtopic/586/67317
