Pulling addresses for donors by fund

Options

Hello - if this has been addressed, please feel free to redirect me.

When setting up a new scholarship fund or endowment, we create a relationship between that fund and the donor.

I can pull a constituent report for all donors with this relationship and their address, but the report cannot provide for me the fund code or fund name.

I can pull a fund report that lists the fund name, code and relationship (donor), but it does not provide the address.

How do you go about pulling a comprehensive report that lists the fund name, the donor behind that fund and their address for ALL of your endowed funds/scholarship funds at one time for mailing purposes?

Thank you!

  • Hi Jill - since you have already grouped your qualified constituents in your query (attached to the report) will it serve your needs to simply title the Fund name in your Report header or subtitle?

  • Hi Faith - I don't think that I was clear and will edit my original post. What I am trying to do is to pull a comprehensive mailing list to ALL of my endowment/scholarship donors for ALL endowed/scholarship funds at one time.

  • Jill, if you are needing to pull a mailing list, you will want to do so through Export, rather than Reports. Reports are not really made for mailing lists. You will create a constituent Query to group anyone with a relationship to a scholarship fund. Then you would attach that Query to an Export.

The Export will allow you to output the Processing address, as well as the named Fund relationships. For the latter, go to the output tab and select Relationships - Funds - Fund, and then select only those funds which are your desired scholarships. At our org, it would look like the pic below.

  • Thanks, I will play around and see if I can make that work

  • Jill, I am new to RENEXT and had the same question. Were you able to get both your constituent and fund information pulled out using these tips?

  • Hi Kate - the best way that I found to do this was to create an attribute for each scholarship contact. In this case, I created one called ‘scholarship report recipient’ and then in the description, I have entered the scholarship fund name. I then built my query pulling this information in the constituent report and it seems to work. It is taking me a long time to enter it all as an attribute, but I am happy so far with the results.

  • @Kate Fernandez and @Jill Forehand - Faith Murray slips in an excellent tip. Create a relationship between the donor and the fund, the recipient and the fund. ?
