Annual Report Query

Options

Hi! I'm trying to pull a query for our annual report listing, where we acknowledge all donors, but do indicate financial levels.

I'm pulling a Gift query where the criteria are gift ≥ $1 and the gift date is between Jan 1 and Dec 31 in 2021, not deceased, not anonymous. But on my output I want to have the amount of the gift that falls within that range- not first, last or greatest gift. How do I find the amount of the gift that falls in that date range to qualify them to be listed in the Annual Report?

Thanks!

  • Use your query with an export. The export will allow you to pull that information using the gift summary field.

Could you please provide a screenshot? That would be so helpful- thank you!

  • Here's the gift summary part of an export set to show all gifts $1 or higher that have a gift date of 1.1.2021 through 12.31..21You can adjust your filters and gift types in need be. But this is the field that would show the total amount of 2021 gifts donated for all of the constituents in your query. I'd set up your query to pull anyone who donated in 2021 but you'll know best which constituents you want to include.

You may want to use a constituent query, @Jillian Saperstein, if you goal is to have constituent names. You can use the gift summary criteria that is part of a constituent query but not a gift query.

Also, you may want to look at a donor category report. This can be useful for pulling levels of giving and you can output a query. We use this for some of our annual report pulls.
