Emails generated in Awards Management for students

Options

We have an increasing number of students disregard the emails sent out through Award Management as spam/fraudulent. And, rather than contacting our office for verify, they are simply ignoring them. So we are having to spend more time following up with students by phone or using our personal email addresses. Is anyone else having this issue? How have you addressed it?

  • @Lindsay Gorkoff - are the students doing that or their email provider.
We had an incident where mail sent out from StarRez was being filtered as spam by our internal program.

You could put verbage in your initial documentation asking student to check their spam folder if they don't hear anything

  • @Lindsay Gorkoff We've done the same thing as Victor by adding language to our email comms that the notice is legitimate and not spam or phishing. It doesn't always work but seems to help more times than not.

  • @Lindsay Gorkoff, our problem with this is huge - whether it's fear of spam, or just not paying attention/ignoring emails, I'm not sure. We really need the ability to text students through BAM. I have not seen any updates about when this feature might become available. The college has texting capabilities and has divided up the available texts in their package among departments. We are working with them to get a few allotted to the Foundation so that we have better luck getting responses from students.
