System Clock

Options

Is it possible to change our site to be on PST rather than CST? We received a $1500 donation at 10:05pm on 12/31 (as well as a few smaller gifts) but since our system is CST is shows as 1/1. We run year to year comparison reports on a weekly basis so this will now be throwing the numbers off...

Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!

  • Hi Stacy,

Regarding the gift that was given... you might talk with you accounting team to see if there is any legal way that you can count the gift within 2012 if that's something that would be good to do.  I don't know what the legal steps for doing that would be but it seems reasonable considering the gift did come in before end of year for your time zone.  There are always a good number of truly "last minute" donors.  :-)

Regarding the system clock -- yes, you can submit a support ticket with the details for your timezone and ask that they adjust the system clock to be PST instead of CST.  Once you get that support ticket submitted, they can get the right folks involved to get that updated for your Luminate Online site, and then time stamp issue should no longer be a problem.  Post back here if you run into any hurdles having support update the time zone for your site.
