Load Default Sets updates to today's date with F3

Options
I've created a default set to load in details about an Attribute.  The Category, Description and Comments will remain the same whenver I use this.  But I'd like to have it be today's date, not a fixed date.

Is there a way to avoid having to go in daily and edit the default set?

  • F5 will give you the current date, so when you load the default, the date will auto update.
  • Just a clarification (because this is a recent find for me, and I had to go try it out to know that my understanding of the post I was reading was correct):  When in the Setup for your Default Set, instead of entering a value in a Date Field within the Set, select the Date Field and press [F5].  RE will then show "Current system date" in that Date Field.  And when you load the Set, the current date will be entered.
  • Oops, I should have noted that Jennifer.  Yes it will show in the default setup as "Current system date", but when you load the default on a record it will actually display the date.
  • Thank you very much.  I didn't know about <F5> putting in the current system date.  Problem solved.
