Is there a way to make some fields required in the donation form? For example, we are doing a donation campaign for mother's day, and I want the tribute name/address field to be required so that we can mail a card to the one the gift honors. I also wondered if these fields can be automatically shown, instead of someone having to click the box in order for the field to appear?

    Hi Alex. There is an extra, optional fields section at the bottom of the "Extras" step of the donation form editor. We are looking into adding more fields to this section over time.



    Our donor research has found that requiring extra fields has a negative impact on the form's conversion rate. We also found that more often than not, people fill in the fields that are presented, required or not. Because of this, we try to require as few fields as possible, but still offer flexibility to include extra fields for donors that would like to provide more info. A donation with the minimum data is better than a lost transaction!



    I would suggest including the fields you want to collect and observing how many people skip them. You can always adjust the wording of the field on the "Fine tuning" step to make it more specific to your form's goal.
