"Add this Data to RE" Fails

When I click on Add this data to RE from the Email Performance window I get the following errors: "Can not call friend function on object which is not an instance of defining class" and "An error occurred while processing the appeal. If the problem persists, please contact support."



How do I resolve this problem? I have tried with several different email messages and they have all failed, small or large.

    He Denise - sorry to hear about this issue. Before we dig into the problem, I have a couple questions for you:


    -Is this the first time you have tried to use the "Send this data to RE" feature?


    -Have you tried closing and restarting RE?

    I had tried to do it in mid-November and had had the same errors but did not have time to diagnose.



    Just did a restart and now have a different error message "Column, parameter, or variable #2: Cannot find data type date. Parameter or variable @dateSent has an invalid data type.

    Thanks Denise. Do you know if you are using SQL Server 2005 for your RE install? It sounds like this that is the cause of this issue.



    If so, we are working on a fix, and hope to have it shipped later this month. Of course you could also upgrade your RE to SQL Server 2008 (or newer) to resolve the issue.

    I just checked and yes, we are using SQL Server 2005. Thanks for your assistance.

    He Stacie. Have you tried closing and restarting The Raiser's Edge? Usually that clears up this problem. We are actively working with The Raiser's Edge team to try to get to the bottom of this issue.
