Receipt Number

I'm setting up our OLX system to begin using eReceipts. In going to Account >Receipt configuration, how do I know what the next receipt number should be? I have checked within RE to see what the last receipt number used was, and entered the next number. However, will this number update if we can an off-line gift that is receipted before we get an online gift that is receipted with this number?

Hi Nate. I'm not an RE expert, but the receipt number in RE's mail tool uses a separate receipt starting number. The "General" tab has a "Start receipt number" value that will apply to receipts generated from the mail tool. The Online Express receipt starting number can be set much larger or smaller to avoid any conflicts.

Thank you, Matt. I didn't know if both coordinated with each other to prevent duplicates. We can easily set a much higher receipt number, so we do not have conflicts.
