Help - no images appear in the test email.

Options
The test email did not include images nor the text set up for the image. We would like to be able to see the whole email prior to sending. Do test emails not show images? Or, like SPARK, are there issues when someone opens an email in MS Outlook? Is there a work around (given all our internal donors will be using Outlook)?

Hi Patty. Have you tried viewing a test email on different networks and devices? Often times with images, mass marketing email tools get blocked by internal firewalls, and I suspect that's what is happening here.

If you give it a shot with gmail or a mobile device outside of your internal network and identify the issue, your IT folks may be able to adjust some settings on your end.
  • No, but I will try it. However, I'm not sure how that helps our donors who use Outlook. I know from using SPARK that there are issues with seeing the email correctly in Outlook. I was able to fix those issues by tweaking a few things with html code and putting images in tables. Is there a way to do that with Online Express?

Hey Patty - this issue isn't necessarily Outlook specific. It's typically related to a firewall on the web connection of a business. For example, images could be blocked while you are at work on Outlook, but work just fine when you are at home using the same computer.

OK, I'll talk to our IT guys about the firewall. The email comes through my mobile phone email fine, I'll also check email at home using Outlook, just to make sure it's not an Outlook problem.
