Has anyone used BBMS Credit Card updater with Raisers's Edge?  How long did it take to get the credit card operational?  Did it increase your monthly donations significantly?



I am hoping that the credit card updater will reduce the amount of declined credit card transactions which often occur with recurring gifts.  Any real world advice from the community would be appreciated. Thanks!

    I have not used the BBMS service, but I have used it with another vendor.  It's definitely worth it.  



    I'm not sure what you mean by 'get the credit card operational,' as it looks for declined credit cards and process it against a new number if there is one.  It shouldn't take any time at all.  It also will not find all of your declinded credit cards as the donor's bank must also participate in the program.  But it's still worth it and there really is no down side.

    We use BBMS after using another service and I couldn't be happier with it.  We've increased our on-line giving, decreased credit card phishing and it's so much easiser to use and reconcile than other services I have used.  Refunds are a breeze as well.  I'm not sure what you are referring to with the "updater" but it's worked great for us.  We also us BBMS credit card processors out at events and that has worked out great for us as well, but you do need to manually enter all transactions made with the swiper, but not on-line donations.  It will even flag donations made within 120 seconds of on another to make sure the donor intended to make the donations. It was no trouble to get up and running too - this process couldn't be easier.
