New Donors Report Pulling Wrong information

Hi-

I am needing to come up with a list of new donors who gave online over the last 5 years. 

Here is what I did:

Created a Query of all donors with Gift Code of Online

Ran a New Donors Report based on that query, dated in the timeframe needed.



The information that came out wasn't the information I needed.  If there was a donor who gave within that timeframe that gave a new gift, it didn't match up to whether they were new AND gave online for their first gift.

Is there a list I can pull for this?

    Is the gift code of Online stored in the gift? If so, you can just do a constituent query where First Gift has Online gift code, then export the information you need.

    I can see where you'd get incorrect results. Donor gave online so pull in query and then in report you find out the online gift was not their first gift. 



    I'd try refining the constituent query by selecting first gift and then entering criteria under that heading.
