Querying Re-engaged data

Options

Hi, I'm Very Very New to RE and to Queries.

is it possible to create a query that will tell me how many donors have donated within the latest quarter, not donated for 2 years before this, but have donated in the past.

I'm sure i cobbled something together last quarter but I'll be blowed if i can remember how.

Thanks in advance

Argh! I just tried to create one query encompassing all that - got # down to very workable size but didn't seem correct. Use summary info - either # of gifts or amount of gifts.   I think I'd opt for separate queries and merge them.

Donors last quarter and not 2 years - summary # or $ greater than 0/$1, date last quarter  AND summary # of gifts equals "0" gift date between XX  and YY.

This seems to work.  I may have just gotten a criteria wrong but when I tried to add in gave in the past I know # of records was not correct.  So  I'd take the easy way out and do a separate query of donors in the past that I wanted.  Then merge with operator to find records in both queries.  (Don't have time right now to figure out what I missed. [:$] )

Be aware of gift types summary defaults to - you can change but it will take those with  pledges regardless of whether they were paid or not if left to default gift types.  Click blue line at top of summary info window to see info on that.
