Query for soft credit names and addresses

Options
We are trying to set up a query to pull both names and addresses for soft credit recipients. We are able to pull the names, but we cannot figure out how to get the addresses of the soft credit recipient. We've tried using some of the KB suggestions but can only pull the original donor address with the soft credit name. I see forum posts from long ago saying this was not possible back then. Does anyone know if it is possible today? Thanks-

Export or creating an output query from donor acknowledgement letter run with SC to both are the only ways I know to pull the address info.

You can get names in a query but then need to use that query in Export function.  Have you looked at this knowledgebase solution?

How to output the address for soft credit recipients in query or export

Users would like to see the addresses for soft credit recipients for mailing purposes. This can be helpful for acknowledging both the donor and the soft credit recipient for the donation if the addresses are different.BB188144

To get an output query from donor acknowledgement letters, here's kb solution.  SC to both and check box for output query.

Unable to include soft credit recipient name, soft credit amount, nickname, addressee/salutation and preferred address on receipts

I tried BB188144 and was still only able to pull the donor address with the soft credit recipient name, but maybe I was doing something wrong. I'll try again. I haven't tried the Donor Acknowledgement method, but will see how that works for us. Thanks.

You won't be able to get addresses in query, however you will be get them in Query List. I'm assuming you only want soft credit recipients in your query.

    1. I created a simple query with gift date greater than or equal to 7/1/14 and Soft Credit Amount greater than $0.01
    2. Tools>Query Options>Gift Processing>Credit Soft Credits to>Recipients Use amount in grid
    3. Save the query
    4. Select New Query List from Menu and then select the query you just created

or once you create the query you can use Mail or Export.

Michael, That worked great for the soft credit recipient addresses! Thank you. Now I have another question. Can this method be used to pull both donor addresses for a campaign as well as soft credit recipient addresses for that campaign in the same query or query list? Or do we need to use two queries - one for donors with addresses and this one you shared with us for the soft credit donors and their addresses?

Nancy, you can get both. In step 2 choose "Both" instead of "Recipient".
