Address Types

Options

I am currently trying to limit our Address Types and I have a question about home vs. physical address type.  If you get the information off of a donor's check would you code that as home or physical?  Can you give me some examples on what types your organizations uses and how you use it?

Generally off check, it's typed as "home".  We use home, business, mailing address, previous address.  We use primary also for some addresses that we receive but it's replaced by one of the others if it's known what type it actually is.

I a not a fan of using "physical address". Home is always a physical address. I would use home. If they have both a home (physical) address and a PO Box or other alternative I would type home as "home" and the PO Box as "mailing address". If they never want mail to home - uncheck send mail.
