First gift "anniversary" query

I would like to pull first gift anniversary information for donors.  Is there a way to pull this information with a specific date window with a fuzzy year?  For example, birthdays we can pull information for a birthday between May 1-31, ANY YEAR?  Is something like this available for first gift information?

    Maybe there is somewhere but I'm not aware of a report that can do that with fuzzy year or a query. 

    My only suggestion would be to do an Export first gift date info and sort from there.  Only thought on how to pull all years that I have.

     I am on the same page with JoAnn.  I know there are analytical reports that give you first gift.  And queries, but none of them has a fuzzy date option that I am aware of.  If you are looking for Consecutive Giving (every year without fail) there is a Consecutive Giving report that will tell you how many years they have given counting back from this FY.

    The only option I see is to export First Gift Date and sort them.

    A constituent query can be created, but will require some maintenance each time it is run.  As an example, let's say that I want to query on constituents whose anniversary for their first gift is in the upcoming month of September.  I will report for first gifts in the past 5 years.

     

    Criteria tab:

    First Gift>Gift Date <ask>

    OR First Gift>Gift Date <ask>

    OR First Gift>Gift Date <ask>

    OR First Gift>Gift Date <ask>

    OR First Gift>Gift Date <ask>

     

    Each time the query is run, I will be asked for dates five times.  You will need to add the field for each year within your reporting time frame.   I will respond:

    BETWEEN 09/01/2009 and 09/30/2009

    BETWEEN 09/01/2010 and 09/30/2010

    BETWEEN 09/01/2011 and 09/30/2011

    BETWEEN 09/01/20012 and 09/30/20012

    BETWEEN 09/01/2013 and 09/30/2013

     

    Any available field can be added to the Output tab to report on the constituents and their giving history.  Although the query will require users to enter dates for each year when run, it does eliminate the need to export the data.  I think this is a good option to consider.
