Pulling Inactive Donors via a Constituent Query

Hello, 

 I would like a Constituent query to pull donors that are considered "inactive." Inactive for us means a donor that has not given to us within the past 5 fiscal years.  I need to find out the current/actual number and the number for last fiscal year. I was able to pull the active constituents with no issues, but I am running into trouble finding accurate numbers for the inactive. Any direction would be greatly appreciated!

    Here's how to query on donors that have not given for last 5 years:   Just do the first part of this KB solution.  Hope that gets you what you need.

    1. Create a constituent query



      2.  On the Criteria tab, select:



      Last Gift, Gift date before [date]



      OR (Gifts, Gift Type equals Pledge



      AND Gifts, Pledge Balance greater than [$0])

    Sorry, the knowledgebase solution is not very clear when it says 'before'.  I would use "less than" and the date for the end of the fiscal year 5 years ago.  That should exclude everyone who has made a gift in the last 5 fiscal years.
