How to Code Not to Receive Invitations

Options
I'm looking for Best Practice for coding constituents so they are not invited to events. For example, an alum with a medical condition that cannot attend but wants to receive other mailings etc. What is the most obvious way to do this? I feel like I am over-thinking it. Thanks

We use Solicit Codes for the variety of circumstances that one might encounter. So something like "No Invitations" would be appropriate here. We have Solicit Codes that run the gamut from "One Solicitation Per Year", "No Mail", "Do Not Exchange". Another way would be to use Attributes, but Solicit Codes work pretty well for us. Only downside is that you can't put dates on them, so you don't know when that Code was put on the record. Attributes would give you that option.

I'd use solicit code also.  Something like "No Event Invites"  - the only difficulty is in remebering to include/exclude the criteria when generating your invite list. :)
