Pulling query/report from the past

I have been asked to pull a report for our Alumni. This query/report needs to reflect an "at the time". Here is what I need but can anyone tell me how to pull it? For the past five years we are looking for the percentage of Alumni Giving - that were contactable at the time. Const. Code: one of alumni and attended but not graduated gift date = 08/01/2008 - 07/31/2009 Deceased= n (DURING THAT TIME - some constituents do not have a date of death just marked deceased because we were informed by return mail or data update but no date given) Valid address (again - during that time period - some were solicited during that time but changed since that date) Solicitation code = available to contact and solicit (again - during that time period - some were solicited during that time but changed since that date) My response to those asking for this report is I can give you the total contactable alumni at the present time and those who gave during those periods but I am having trouble finding those who were actually contactable at that time. We have added every year and done several updates to their records during the past 5 years. Does anyone see a way to pull this that I can't see. I have tried queries and statistical reports.
