Flag to indicate first time giver

Has anyone figured out a way to have the system let you know when you have a first time donor?  It would be great if a message would pop up when a person has never given before.

You need to create a query of all your records with criteria that you would define as new donor (if you enter $0 gifts be sure to use amount vs # of gifts for your criteria. You could define criteria to find new donors to annual fund vs. capital etc.).

When you have your query you or someone with rights to set up business rules just set up a business rule.  When you enter the constituent name in batch, you'll get a pop with your designated message.  Then you just have to remember to do what ever it is you want for your new donors.
