    Import.jpg

Why do you want this feature? What problem does it solve?

This provides the ability to import additional financial account information through ERB.

    What are the known issues?

In a future phase of development, we want to add the ability to import routing numbers (BSB).

What changes do you need to make to best utilize this feature?

No changes other than understanding these four fields are now available in the ERB template.

    Duplicate Resolution Screen Changes

The duplicate resolution screen has been improved to make resolving matches and differences in data between existing records and incoming records easier.

    These changes included the following.

    • An update to address formats to respect the format of the country of the address.  Previous versions of this screen always displayed the address in US format.
    • An update to the logic that determines how the primary flag is set on addresses, emails, and telephones based on the actions of the user in combination with the configured settings for constituent updates.
    • Access to multiple addresses, phones, emails, via drop down of data list to allow the user to update/match to more than just one address/email/telephone within a record.

Why do you want this feature? What problem does it solve?

This functionality allows for greater ease of use and flexibility when you resolve potential matches of incoming data to existing records.

What changes do you need to make to best utilize this feature?

You should use duplicate matching for incoming data in order to be presented with the duplicate resolution screen.  In addition, configuration settings for whether or not data is automatically updated based on incoming data should be set in order to maximize the features available when incoming data is matched to existing data.

What else should you know about this feature?

This is part of a larger effort to make the duplicate resolution screen easier to use that began in the previous release.

    Batch Navigation

    What are we doing?

Replacing the Batch edit drop-down button with two visible buttons. The batch row Edit drop-down button has been replaced with two buttons:  Edit batch and Edit properties.

    Why are we doing this?

This eliminates an extra click when you need to edit a batch or its properties.

    Feature

    Import Financial Account Information

Four new fields are available when you create financial imports from Enhanced Revenue Batch (ERB): Financial institution, Account number, Account type, and Account name.

In a future phase of development, we want to add the ability to import routing numbers (BSB).

What changes do you need to make to best utilize this feature?

No changes other than understanding these four fields are now available in the ERB template.

This feature was released in CRM 3.0 Service Pack 4. New fields are now available when you create financial imports using an Enhanced Revenue Batch (ERB).

For financial accounts, the following fields are now available: Financial institution, Account number, Account type, and Account name.

For financial institutions, the following fields are now available: Financial institution name, Banking system, Branch name, Routing number, BIC, Sort code, and Bank code. Note that when working with financial information, you must use the routing field associated with your selected banking system.

  • This feature is expected for release in version 4.0.

We have added the ability to export constituent financial account information--including bank account numbers--into a file that a third party can process.

    Why are we doing this?

Previously, bank number details for direct debit/EFT were encrypted, so export definitions exported the account number as blank. You could use query to extract account name and number, but not export.

What else should you know about this?

This change affects export definitions only.

    David,

This forum is for features that are in development and have not yet been released. The query results export is planned for an upcoming release of Blackbaud CRM.

This feature released in version 4.0. For more information, refer to Edit recognition credits in batch.

What problem are we trying to solve?

The ability to edit recognition credits for all payment types in a Revenue Update Batch and an Enhanced Revenue Batch.

    What is our solution?

Recognition credits provide flexibility for crediting constituents for a transaction. For example, you can credit additional constituents for the revenue and decide how much credit each constituent receives.

You can now edit recognition credits associated with commitments, such as pledges or recurring gifts, when added through a Revenue Update Batch and an Enhanced Revenue Batch. To edit the recognition credit for a commitment from the Revenue tab of the batch data entry screen, select a payment row and click Recognitions on the toolbar. From the Recognitions screen, you can change or add additional constituents.

What else should I know about this?

For commitments associated with multiple applications, from the Recognitions screen, you must first click Assign recognitions before you can edit or add new recognition credits.

This feature released in version 4.0. For more information, refer to Save As Option for Export Definitions .

A new Save as option is available when you create and edit export definitions on the Export definitions page in Administration. This allows you to change existing export definitions while they are open and save them as new definitions. Previously, you copied definitions to create new versions of them. This enhancement reduces the number of steps to update existing definitions so you can work more efficiently.

This feature released in version 4.0. For more information, refer to Apply to commitments screen in batch.

With this release, we made several enhancements to the Apply to commitments screen accessed from an Enhanced Revenue Batch and Revenue Update Batch. These enhancements improve the use and efficiency of this screen. Note that when upgrading, these usability enhancements also apply to existing batches.

    nf-batch-enhancements.png

    • To view a large amount of information at one time, you can now click the maximize button in the top right corner of the Apply to commitments screen. Once maximized, to return to the default screen size, click maximize again. To manually resize the screen, you can click and drag any corner of the screen.
    • Use new search filter options to filter the list of commitments based on designation lookup ID or name, constituent name, or amounts. You can also filter across due dates.
    • Previously, the Description column displayed the designation or event lookup ID as well as the associated constituent name. For easier identification and sorting, the Description column now displays the designation or event lookup ID and the new Constituent column displays the associated constituent name.
    • To quickly locate information, you can now sort the grid by clicking any column header.
    • The commitments grid now supports pagination. Use the Page field and page arrows to easily navigate between groups of commitments. The grid displays 25 commitments per page.
