Can Donation API capture subsrc codes??

Hello guys,

I had a quick question regarding the donation API process.

We currently have a donation form set up on our site using the API and I was wondering how we can get this form to recongnize subsrc codes in the url. Is the only option currently to hardcode this code into a hidden input field?

If the page is hosted in PageBuilder, you can use ] to render the value of a passed-in subsrc parameter in the page url in the value attribute of a hidden input in the form.

Let me know. I tried a couple different URLs:


http://bvt318.convio.com/site/PageServer?pagename=MyDonationForm&subsrc=testing12345
http://bvt318.convio.com/site/PageServer?pagename=MyDonationForm&subsrc=54321test

and these worked successfully to add constituents with different Origin sub-source codes using the following hidden inputs in the Donation form:


  <input type="hidden" name="source" id="source" value="mydonationform" />
  <input type="hidden" name="sub_source" id="subsrc" value="]" />

One thing I'd note -- if you want sub-source to be carried over to pages the constituent visits in the session other than the donation form, you should use the query string s_subsrc, and thus ].
