Is there a way to change the page that is linked to the Join Team link on team list page?

We were having problems with the promotion codes on the different partition types when trying to join a team by clicking on the join team link.  It was not showing any options at all since we had it set up with the codes Run, Ride, Fundraise.  We eliminated the promotion codes and now it shows all of the options for all participation types.  Is there a way to change what that is linked to on the team list page and also individual participants pages?

    One of the things I did for SD Humane was put the registration options on a customized page instead of the default from the homepage registration button. If you go here: http://www.sdhumane.org/site/TR/Events/General?fr_id=1090&pg=entry and click the "register" link at the top you can see how we controlled the participation types here. Sure it adds one more click but in my opinion it's much cleaner looking and not so confusing.
