How can I get a count of the number of individuals (contacts) in our CGE database?

Luminate CRM is actually what we are transitioning CGE to so that thread will work for you too. You will need to create a group with filter criteria that you want. I believe you can build a group based on the ID field not being blank. This should pull everyone. But I haven't heard of any easier way to do this. Definitely something you might want to add to Convio Ideas.

Right, but I don't know how to create a group in CGE or Luminate CRM, which is why I was asking for additional instructions. I guess I can just pull a report of of all donations ever and dedupe by contact id? Wouldn't that get me pretty close? Or - is my understanding correct that a certain number of contacts are allowed in our contract with Convio, and if we went from say, 10,000 to say, 20,000, there might be additional usage fees or an amendment to our contract required. It follows then that someone, somewhere is keeping track of the number of constituents in our database. Maybe you could point me in that direction?

I was told you can go to Setup → Data Management → Storage usage to get this info. Please let me know if this doesn't give you what you need. I don't have a test site to test this.
