Power Automate: March 6, 2025 Boston Workshop

Options

Did you attend the Blackbaud Power Automate workshop in Boston in March? I would like to connect with others who were there. It might be beneficial to create a space for sharing insights, experiences, and tips to enhance our understanding and application of what we learned. Let’s take this opportunity to network and collaborate as we use Power Automate in our work. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you in the online office hours tomorrow.

    not sure if it is better to have a separate forum only for those that has attended the boston workshop, or any workshop, or maybe this forum

    I don't know if Blackbaud workshop has any “limitation” on sharing info from the workshop, but I think the greater community here can benefits from any discussion, questions, answers the workshop attendee may talk about here. You also get some of the other community member who is more experienced that may not attend these workshop and still be able to help answer some questions from workshop attendee

    my 2cents.

    Thanks @Alex Wong,

    We are trying something new and I would hope that anyone would feel free to answer, and we made some connections at the workshop and didn't have time to share our info with each other - I'm hoping this will make it easier to find each other out here and make connections on this platform. Additionally, this could be a way to entice some new people to see the resource that our community is, especially with amazing members like you.

    Sharing out with those at office hours that I can find in the community: @Carlene Johnson @Sarah Woodard @Liz Fay and of course @Tiffany Elliott already found this too.

    Wanted to share two small wins! I have a flow that I created last summer that adds a few actions to records when we learn someone has passed away. I really wanted it to be an action along with a note, and I just did it! The date fields are different for notes than actions, and that held me back momentarily.

    I worked on it more - broke it several more times. I just went back to a saved copy for the flows from the morning and made the improvements, and it is functioning again.

    Is there a way to order the constituent page actions on the add-in drop-down? Doesn't seem to be alphabetical. Is it the order they are created and added to one's developer account?

    @Elizabeth Johnson
    There isn't a way to order the add-in buttons. As for what order they appears, I think the later added ones is at the top, though that's just how it appears to me.

    @Erik Leaver is this something you can find out?
