Word Documents once made in export?

I used a hosted DB view for ten years, and just started at an organization using NXT and the changes have already surprised me. In DB view i frequently used the export function to pull fields and create documents right in RE. Similar to letters, but also to pull prospect profiles (once crystal went away) etc. It seems like this functionality has changed. Ive been searching all over the training areas this morning and havent been able to find a way to wrap my brain around how do this now. I know NXT is more user friendly, but for an old DBA like me it seems more difficult. Would love advice, sorry if im asking an old question.

    @Erin Russell Welcome to the BB community forums.

    Yes, NXT could be described as more user friendly. However there are still a lot of functions to come. Some of the ability to pull into Word/Excel was lost with the break with Microsoft.

    Some things still just need to be done in database view. Reports are coming to web view but I don't see donor profile on the first list of coming reports.

    @JoAnn Strommen do you have any suggestions on a work around in the mean time? Im trying to figure out what training i need to prioritize. My expert level experience seem to have been downgraded with the change! :)

    @Erin Russell You should be able to try to export into another format in DB view. I don't know if I would move this over to NXT quite yet. But yes, the break from Microsoft Office was painful, but that was happened over 3 years ago so I can't remember how we did some of those exports.

    While more is coming to webview, Blackbaud roadmap is long. So if there is specific report/document that you wanted, customize it by using power automate, power bi, and sky addin will take you very far.

    @Dariel Dixon Oh I remember that- it WAS a painful transition- I was still VERY new to RE and learning the system and about panicked when this came about-However, I currently use Mail in DBV to export my batch information for letters and them put them into word for final formatting, previewing and printing.
