End-of-Year Rollover from CORE to Raiser's Edge Help

in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT®: General Discussion

Do you work in a school that uses both Raiser's Edge and Core (Blackbaud's Enrollment Management system)? If so, how do you rollover your information from Core to RE at the beginning of each new school year? We started using ImportOmatic last fall with limited success. The main challenge has been exporting all of the information we need out of Core. We usually need to do about 5 exports but not everything we need is easily pulled (ie: sibling information, employment information, other relationships). I'd love to hear from you if you're in the same situation and have found solutions. Thank you so much!

    @Emily Swinehart Hi Emily, we are using ConnectRE on a cycle that aligns with our school/fiscal year, as well as to sync data collected in Education Management for our Grandparent/Grand friends days. It is certainly not perfect, and I would highly recommend standardizing your data between BEM and RE before attempting to run ConnectRE. I am happy to connect about our school's process if you would like to discuss further.

    Thanks so much. We used Connect RE but it did not work well for us at all so we switched over to Importomatic. It is much better at allowing us to get incredibly specific with the mapping of fields between Core and RE. The most difficult part, though, has been trying to export all of the needed data from Core. I've found I have to go to the advanced reporting which I am not trained in (no one seems to be at my org). Looking for some guidance on how to move forward.

    @Kevin Wood Hi, I thought the Connect RE was an automatic thing but it appears I need to manually update it by selecting Connect RE. Is that correct?

    @Trina Ferling - ConnectRE will not run automatically. You will need to go into the plugin to have it start comparing records.
