Import - Ratings Question

Options

I am working on a mass import of Internal Assessment ratings and have followed the guide on how to do ratings imports.

For my first import, I do PRateSource Internal Assessment, and the PRateCat Link with the corresponding link for that constituent. Link is something we created internally. The import is successful and the Link shows when I look at their profile.

For the second import, I do PRateSource Internal Assessment, and the PRateCat Qualified Ask. The import is successful, but it completely deletes the info I just imported on Link.

Same thing happens when I do my third import, PRateSource Internal Assessment and PRateCat Qualified Ask Amount.

These are all different categories, so I am not sure why it keeps deleting the information I just imported from a different category. I have reached out to support about this two weeks ago and shared my CSV files and the ticket is still open and they are still looking into, but wanted to check with the RE community to see if anyone has found a workaround for this where it will keep the import of all three and not delete the data that's in a different category.

@Jason Fuerst Welcome to the BB community forums.

It is wiping the out as the source is the same. It's matching the source. Importing ratings is a unique beast. It seems to use source and category backwards in db view but the opposite in web view when running reports/exports.

You might try importing them in the same import. Use the extension codes for each set of data: Source 1, Date 1, Category 1, Description 1 / Source 2, Date 2, Category 2, Description 2 / etc. This would put them in with same source but unique category.

Thanks for the reply and the suggestion. Unfortunately, the extension code wasn't an option on the import, and when I tried doing the import, it said “Duplicate Field Source is not allowed.” So it looks like I cannot do all on one import. I read a help file that said it's only available as an option if fields that are allowed to have multiples. Yet, I can manually add multiple sources on a record just fine, I just can't do it as an import.

  • @Jason Fuerst, I do these fairly often. If you have a few minutes to connect via screen share I'd be happy to assist.

@Jason Fuerst I hope Mike can help. I don't do the imports often but I know I have duplicate Field sources when I look at the ratings on a record.

Use a “Constituent” import and select the update existing constituent record for the type of import - just make sure headers align from the user guide which it sounds like you are doing.
