How to Identify Non-Reciprocal Relationships using Web View Query?

Options

When we converted to RE, a large number of our relationships were incorrectly converted from our legacy system into RE as NON-reciprocal. This has been an ongoing cleanup project. I would love a way to identify non-reciprocal relationships for cleanup in web view. I don't see one currently but could be missing it. I created a query to try to identify these but it's not displaying the field I was hoping for - "Reciprocal System Record ID". There is a screenshot of this from db view to demonstrate the field I mean. My understanding from our conversion consultant was that this was how we could identify if a relationship was reciprocal or not.

I also don't see this field displayed on the records anywhere in web view.

  • @Amelia Ketzle Today, web view query supports the same set of fields as database view query. I'm guessing this field is not available in database view query either. If that's not the case, please let us know and we can investigate further.

  • @Todd Yellin - I think you're right. Would it be difficult to add it?

@Amelia Ketzle, I'll add this to my list of requested fields. Our first goal was to bring over the functionality from DBV, but we've begun planning for the Export module as well, which includes a number of fields currently missing from Query. We'll evaluate some of these requested fields to determine which can feasibly be included in that effort. Thanks for sharing the request and the use case!

  • @David Springer - Also, I know this isn't in the purview of this EAP really, but there should be some way to tell just by looking at a relationship in web view whether or not it is reciprocal. Unless I'm missing it, the only way to tell currently is to delete the relationship from one direction and see if it still shows up from the other direction! Obviously that's not a good solution. I guess relationships just are reciprocal in web view? Is that accurate to say? But any carried over that were done as non-reciprocal will still be an issue and DBAs will need a way to check them.
