Dual-active Admins and filtering fundraisers

Options

As some of you know, I was ordered to add another active admin. She has taken a group of constituents from one Fundraiser and assigned another Fundraiser to them, without putting an end date for the initial Fundraiser - which is causing the ladies confusion as it no longer lists only their actions.

I am trying to make a query, to keep and revert back to, listing two Fundraisers so I can fix things. (Thank you ADD) I've done a Google search which told me to run a Comparison and Summary report which didn't turn out. I've tried running a query using Assigned Solicitor Name equals, listing both of the ladies, joined by And. I am getting no results, other than a headache.

Your help would be very much appreciated!!

    @Dana Burton Oh my.

    Believing I have that scenario on some records due to a dev officer leaving, I tried running query several ways with equals / one of and also pull zero results. Tried including ‘date to’ - zero. Definitely not working as one would expect. Bummer.

    You may have to create a query and use the Export module to generate a list.

    @Dana Burton I'm not certain if I'm understanding. Is it that these constituents now have multiple solicitors assigned to them, or that they were supposed to be moved to another portfolio? My organization allows for multiple solicitors, but we do have training about action entry.

    If they assignments were supposed to be moved and weren't, that is a problem that needs training. But this whole situation needs mediation. There's no reason why there hasn't been any communication about this. Communication with all parties is key to resolving conflict and reducing chaos.

  • @Dariel Dixon, they've been assigning one Fundraiser per constituent. Until recently, we only had the Fundraiser and PR Manager doing those duties (the PR manager is now active admin as well). She is changing assignments, which is confusing the original Fundraiser, as we've hired two more.

    In the 8 ½ years I've been here, communication hasn't really happened, unfortunately.

    @Dana Burton How can anything get done if there is no communication? This speaks to the culture at the workplace. To the issue of fundraiser assignments, these decisions have already impacted your ability to work and increasing your workflow. Have you brought these issues to your supervisor? It's their job to remove some of these roadblocks from you. It's also causing confusion. I doubt you'll be able to really figure things like this out without an audit tool. I wish you well in your search, as it sounds like these situations won't resolve themselves until you leave.

  • @Dariel Dixon, I've brought things up in the past. With new management, my concerns are not even listened to. It's quite frustrating. ?

  • @Dana Burton I don't think you'll be able to do it with a single query, you're getting zero results because it's checking each fundraiser on a constituent to see if they meet all the criteria I believe. What about merge queries though, where one query is looking for constituents with fundraiser A and the other for fundraiser B?

  • @Alan French - that could be an option to look into, thank you.
