Building a preview line

Options

Has anyone had any luck figuring out how to build a preview line into the subject line? For example, the subject might be “Message from the dean" and the preview line would be the words that followed in that little window, eg: This holiday season, we are so grateful for our supporters for their time, effort, and…"

Thanks!

@Rob Levin - You can accomplish this through a workaround. In the email body, at the very top above any images, add a text field. Set the font to the smallest size and match its color to the email background. Enter the sentence you want to appear as the preview here.

Yes, that is what I have been doing. I don't like that you can pick it up if you highlight the text, or that when gmail goes into night mode it shifts the color of that text to something other than the background for some unknown reason.

I can't for the life of me understand why there isn't a field for the preview line.

@Rob Levin - If you don't have any images within your email, it's just text - the system will infer the preview line from the first line of text; that's why the workaround, works.

I recommend visiting the RE NXT Idea Bank to make sure this is listed for NXT Email Marketing. OLX is unlikely to be updated with something new.
