Hi all,

I've noticed that despite the fact that we can add diverse options in RE to the gender table, Luminate forms and records only allow the gender binary of M/F. I checked the Idea bank and this was acknowledged as part of the plan for the next update as of 2018, 6 years ago! I realize this platform was created decades ago, but certainly it's due for an update? Especially since this goes beyond an “idea”, because we don't want to discriminate against our gender-diverse constituents. I haven't reached out directly to Support yet, but I feel like if I do that only fixes this for one account out of all of them…

    @Robin Kuehn I know it is possible to update the gender and title options as my site has Mx. as a title and Non-binary as a gender option. I would contact Support to find out how to make this update.

    Contact support and they can add the genders you are looking for.

    Thanks @Philip Nawrocki & @Allison King. Like I said in my post, that would only fix it for our organization, isn't it time for a global fix? It seems like that would be easier than Support helping every single Luminate customer.

    @Robin Kuehn I agree. This should be easier for us to add. I bet it is due to Blackbaud's larger ecosystem. Specifically, BBCRM and RE. If the values in LO don't match, and you are running a sync, that would cause errors in the data.

    There is an idea for this on the ideas board:

    Best bet is still contacting support for now.
