Uploading gift records from a third party platform to RE

Options

Hi! We run some fundraising via a small third party platform called CanadaHelps. I need some help how to upload those gifts in a timely manner to RE. What is the template to upload the gifts? Do I have to have constituent ID in the upload file (of course the third party does not have the RE Constituent ID). And what are the steps. Thank you

@Tal Rozenfeld Welcome to the community. The import is going to depend on what fields you have available. You would need some way to add the constituent ID on the file. There may be some other additional fields you'll need to add such as GiftImportID.

Depending on the volume and how quickly you can add those fields, you may want to consider adding them manually.

@Tal Rozenfeld Welcome to the BB community forums.

How many gifts, how often and are all donors in db already? That info is something I would consider in making my plan of action.

To use RE import you would need to add constituent ID's to your spreadsheet of gifts. You would create your own import file / template that you could use each time. See support import guide at:

Does your org have software such as Import-o-matic or Importacular? They can help to match name to record. To import gifts, both are software purchases.

If it's a few gifts infrequently from folks with records in db you may be able to work more efficiently by just entering their names in a gift batch, IMO.
