  • When I first joined Community (I think it 2018/2019) I had a lot more free time and learned so much was able to post a lot and it was great getting to meet ‘my people’.

Now it is more hit or miss but any time I need to figure something out my first thought is ‘what will I learn via the Community’ getting advice or best practice from others is wonderful!

My tip for usage is the search feature to try to find posts that already exist before putting out your question.

As a late-in-life career changer, the community has been an incredible tool that has helped answer questions, solve issues, find best practices, and connect with others in the same field.
Searching different discussion boards for answers to questions or problems is always the best option.
When, and if, I have down time, I login and navigate to my favorite BB product, RE NXT. I scroll through the discussion board and try to offer feedback and advice on other questions. Many times I find something helpful I wasn't even looking for.

I tried to log into Community after I log into Grantmaking. I check community news to keep up with all things Blackbaud. I love how it introduces me to my fellow colleagues. I also log into Blackbaud Grantmaking to read through all the post. The posts are informative and sometimes answers questions I am seeking. I also search Blackbaud Grantmaking to search for members I want to connect with.

Taking some time throughout the week to look around and get new ideas or perspectives is super helpful! I also love to be able to share some knowledge with others. In general surrounding yourself with others that are passionate about improving and using the software to it's fullest!

  • @Crystal Bruce I always search in the community first when trying to find solutions or ideas on how to be more efficient with the database. Members have unique perspectives and get creative when it comes finding solutions that work for their organization.

  • @Crystal Bruce I search the Community when I encounter bugs/issues on behalf of my clients. It's been a great way to find workarounds to known issues and bugs!

  • @Crystal Bruce I love Dan Snyder's monthly challenge suggestion - who doesn't love getting a gold star to celebrate something new?

  • @Yvonne Mann It is motivating :)
