Linking Issues in Thank yous

Options
I am having issues linking in the thank you section of online express. I want to include the link to a PDF hosted on our website but every time I try to link this within the email or confirmation screen display it doesn't link to the text I want it to and instead the link is copied in the top of the email. Wondered if anyone else has had this issue or knows the solution?

@Amy Wood - Welcome to BB Community Forums! Have you tried putting the link in, not hyperlinked to a specific set of text?

Online Express thank you editing is problematic when inserting. it doesn't insert at the text cursor location.

What you can do is insert the link (appears at the top, then highlight and “Cut” it from the top and paste at the bottom

I highly doubt this is being addressed since Online Express is being phased out. I know it is not included for new RE customers or for those who are still migrating from RE7 to RENXT. There is no sunset date for the product, but it also means will be no new development to it either.

  • @Amy Wood I just had the same issue today and support told me it wasn't possible to hyperlink in OLX form confirmation emails and I called them on it and showed them hyperlinked text from a previous confirmation email in the OLX event form, and as of now they haven't found any solution.

However, FB RE USERS SUPPORT GROUP FOR THE WINNNN!!!! Thanks to a fellow RE user at a different org for suggesting pasting into Word, adding the hyperlinks there, then pasting into the confirmation email text box!! I originally copied/pasted directly from an Outlook email and it didn't keep the hyperlinks, but when I pasted into Word (and had to fix the hyperlinks because Outlook somehow got their own tracking device into the URLs), then pasted into the confirmation email text, the hyperlinks stuck. Not ideal because we pay a lot of money to Blackbaud and when I have to spend extra time trying to duct tape things together, it is very frustrating. But still, I am appreciative of the support of other experienced users.
