what does “Blackbaud control our seating” mean?

You can use RE database view > event seating module to create a “seating” for your full event, if there's “2 maps” create 2 sections and how ever many tables in each section.

if you looking for a “seating map” thing, then RE does not have solution for that.

Blackbaud does not have anything offering for seating map (physical location of tables on the floor plan of the venue). There are not any “partner” apps out there neither that I know of, nor is this in any Blackbaud roadmap to build out in the near future.

CVENT has this, but does not integrates with Blackbaud so meaning export import is needed.

or have someone from your team with webdev and developer experience to build this out for you that integrates with RE NXT, which is what we did, or hire a partner/contractor to build this out. These 2 options depends on how significant your “seating event” is to your org.

we have them year round. ~30 events that are gala dinner with seating needs.
