We are working on moving all our grant tracking into the proposal section in RE. I am working on the the reports that will be generated to go with deadlines. I noticed that proposals do not have their own type ( in query or export) so you have to use constituent .

My question is there a way to get the excel report to list each proposals from the same donor as a separate line/row on the excel report?

@Susan Brand if you export from a query then each proposal will have its own line (I'm awaiting the inevitable chorus of “query is a grouping tool, not a reporting tool” which I normally subscribe to myself! ?)

If you export the data using an export, as far as I know there's no way to get each proposal on a separate line if you use Excel, but you could choose a different format like Access and then do some jiggery pokery there to get the data out in the form you need, because Access retains the table structure whereas Excel flattens the data.

@Alan French I am here to defend your use of the export from query option for this, really the only way to go for reporting on proposals. There is still some jiggery pokery ? that needs to happen but it can work.
