How to count monthly e-newsletter subscribers?

Options

How does your organization tally the total number of e-newsletter subscribers (on a monthly basis or otherwise)? I can figure out how many people receive the e-newsletter, but am unable to determine how many people subscribed during a specific amount of time (such as monthly). For example, how can I find the count of how many individuals subscribed to my e-newsletter in October and how many unsubscribed?

  • Hello Jessica,

I suggest using the Email Campaign Message Performance Report. You can find it under Email - Email Campaigns - Campaigns - Manage the Campaign in question - Reports

Use the Message Performance Report to show the number of email messages that:

    Were sent to constituents

Were not received by recipients due to hard bounces, such as bad email addresses

Were not received by recipients due to soft bounce temporary conditions, such as full mailboxes, ISPs that were unable to accept email at the time, and so on.

    Were successfully delivered to constituents

    Were opened by constituents

Constituents used the links in to click through to reach the target purpose of the email

    Constituents took action on

Constituents forwarded to others via clicking the Tell-a-friend component

Constituents clicked unsubscribed to remove themselves from the email list

    Regards,

    Steve

  • Did you ever get an answer to this question? I have the same question.

Thanks, Steve. Is there a way of getting this information for a specific range of time or on a date when you ahve not sent out a newsletter? Some of our email campaigns do not send out email newsletters on a regular monthly basis, but we have to report on how many sign ups there were every month. Is there a way of finding this out without sending an email?
