Errors in downloading transactions dates for event tickets sold

We cannot view the payment transaction dates of tickets sold in an event. We have reproduced the error thru Mozilla Firefox, IE6, and IE7, by downloading the report to our desktop and viewing the .csv file thru Microsoft Excel and Notepad.

We download the report by clicking on the specific event, then "view guest list", and as instructed download the report to our computer. When viewed thru Excel (or Notepad) we should expect to see a date/time-stamp, however we only see a scientific numeration.

Has anyone else experienced this error?

Is this error an Excel translation of the file?

Any help would be appreciated.
