Donation API in Convio

In order to use the Donation API in Convio, do I have to create an adminstrative security group, new group permissions, and add a new member to this API group? We're not planning on using the Constituent Management API. Is there anything else I would need to start using the Donation API?

    No, that administrative set-up is only needed to use the API to perform administrative actions such as getting or updating a constituent's record other than your own. That's the scenario when making server-to-server calls to the Constituent Mgmt. API. The donation API doesn't support any administrative actions (e.g., recording an off-line donation made by a constituent). It supports constituents making their own on-line donations. Therefore, it doesn't require the administrative set-up.

    How about the Convio APi key and the Convio API Filter Key. I'm sure these will be needed to connect back to Convio servers, true?

    Anyone have detailed documentation on Donations API; such as form field values, various parameters one can set with the API calls, how to connect to the ghost form? Is this something I'd have to discuss by calling and setting up a meeting with Convio?

    The IP filter is only used for the server-to-server API so it is not needed for the donation API (which only has a client-to-server version). The API key must be set and used for all APIs.
