Upload constituents into more than one group during "Import"

Does anyone know how one would upload constituents into more than one group during Data Sync? Right now, I'm only aware of using one "group_id" and then going back and updating records, which is an obvious pain in the neck.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Currently, you can only assign one group while uploading constituents with the Constituent Data Upload. You can do multiple assignments with the Group Assignment Upload, but this one doesn't update the other constituent data. In the next release of the Convio system (in August, I believe), there will be a new ability to create custom constituent imports with which you can include multiple group and interest assignment columns along with the constituent data.

    I have not done this so you may want to do a quick trial (a few records) before a bulk upload - but - If you have multiples of a contact's member_id, you should be able to do several group_id uploads at once.

    For instance, having 5 indentical fields for member_id "27", but with 5 different group_ids or group_names.
