Online Express for Employee Campaign

Options

Has anyone used the online express module to run their annual employee campaign? We are looking for a more digital, user friendly, more direct way to conduct our annual campaign. If you have, could you offer guidance and/or information on how you had this done? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

  • Click https://shhfoundation.org/ways-to-give/associate-giving/ to see what I set up at a former job. The payroll deduction one creates an email received by the office but charges no money. Then there's a background process for setting that up. Happy to answer any questions!

  • Thank you for sharing! How did you get the employee ID # as a field option? Did you do two different forms for the one time gift and another one for the payroll deduct?

  • yes, 2 different forms - you can click on them and see them

  • the employee ID# is a gift attribute - created in RE and then added to the form - use the… shoot, I just closed it down, so I can't go look - use the look and feel? tab to move around the order of stuff on the form.

  • Hi Heather - in a nutshell, what is the step-by-step you use for your payroll deduction gifts using the OLX form? Do you use a pledge or recurring gift gift type for these? And then a batch for each pay period? We currently enter each employee gift manually from the donor reply cards as pledges and then run a batch each pay period (pay-cash). We'd like to go more digital as well.

  • Hi Frank,

I do not know the answer to your question as I am learning all this as well. We are trying to avoid having to re-enter each of the batches due to them coming in as “cash” and not the “other” or “pledge” option in the gift type section. Any suggestions on being able to make that change ahead of time?

    Hi Frank,

If an employee signed up for a pledge or one time gift, they were entered as such. The ones who signed up for recurring gifts were entered that way. This, by far, was the bulk of employee giving at that job because over 90% wanted to do it through payroll deduction. These were entered manually, one by one, as we received the gifts or signups.

We had a recurring batch with everyone already pulled into it to use after each payroll cycle. We got a report from payroll of who'd given and what amount, did a comparison to the batch, updated the Gift Date and G/L Post Date (and anything else that needed it) and then committed the batch.

We did try it with pulling in those whose gifts were due each time, but that was more messy for us than just comparing it to an already existing recurring batch list.
