Non-binary title

We would like to add a non binary title to our donation pages without having to ask for support or our consultant to do this for us. Anyone else out there looking to do this?

Hi Sue,

I would reach out to Support to see if they could update the options for you.

If they can't, you could add it as a new data field in the form and then map it to the constituent file. I don't think you can map it to the title field so you might have to use a custom field to map it to. This could cause issues as some other tools that use the title field may automatically write to the regular title field so then you have two fields that you have to reconcile.

Hopefully Support can add other options in for you as that would be the cleanest/easiest option.

Currently, only Blackbaud Professional Services is able to update the list of titles available on your site, so you wouldn't be able to do it yourself. (Fortunately, this is a very small change.)

I will note that there is a caveat for any organizations using Advocacy in Luminate Online – new titles cannot be added in Action Alert forms due to the fact that the values must map to the title options available on legislators' webforms.

You can open a support case and they will update it for free. We have done it for Title and Gender. No need to pay for something that should be happening anyways.

Thanks everyone! We chatted with support and they have sent our request to their internal team and will email us when it is complete, no need to pay our consultant to do this for us!
