Blackbaud Checkout/OLX and Wordpress

Hi everyone! Has anyone had issues integrating Blackbaud Checkout on a donation form through OLX while using Wordpress? We don't have a full-time web developer with the bandwidth to diagnose the issue, but a cursory google search leads me to believe it has to do with the iFrame. When I enable Blackbaud Checkout and you click on the "Secure Payment" button, you just get redirected to the top of the donation form again. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Alex Christie‍ - If you haven't already, you should go ahead and contact BB Support.  This is not a normal behavior for BB Checkout - can speak from personal experience as our OLX forms on a Wordpress website.

    Thank you! Unfortunately Blackbaud Support was not willing to connect me with their engineering team (at least, not without billable hours)because it's an issue with our website. Chris Martin‍ passed the issue on to an engineer to take a deeper look, so hopefully that will point us in a better direction.

    Hi Alex Christie‍. This is preliminary but it looks like there are scenarios where having an OLX signup form and another OLX form set to process payments using BB Checkout on the same page could be causing what you're seeing. I'm reasonably confident that if you tested the same OLX donation form code snippet on a page that doesn't have an OLX email signup form in the footer, you'll see it function correctly.


    OLX forms should generally support this use case though (and historically have prior to BB Checkout being an OLX option) and we're looking at resolving this.

    I want to say THANK YOU again! This is so helpful. I have reached out to my website manager to see if we can remove the form from the footer to test this out. I'll keep you posted.

    Oh my gosh, that did it! So I'll start looking at solutions, whether it includes removing the footer on the donate page, or switching email sign-up forms.

    Glad to help Alex Christie‍. And FYI we're still going to pursue resolving the conflict that's preventing those two forms from happily coexisting on the same page.
