Adding Constituent-Specific Notices to Batching

Options
Greetings!

Does anyone know how to add the pop-up window that appears in a batch when you add a gift from a specific constituent? For example, a gift from Mr. Smith might need to go to a certain fund, so the window will say "Gifts from Mr. Smith should go towards the Aquatic Center Fund." Help on this would be much appreciated.

  • I think this should be done with Business Rules.  You can set up a static query just for Mr. Smith and then create a business rule that pulls his query upon pulling up his information in batch.

    Hi Jackson!

Check out this link to a Knowledgebase article.

    Hope this helps!

  • On the individual record, bar click on Annotate (next to the green tree)

wright your message and check the box on the bottom left corner.

    I hope this helps.
  • We do the same as Anna, use annotations on a record when its something specific to that one constituent, however we use business rules for groups of constituents that may need a notification when a gift is added to a batch
  • When adding an annotate, we have found that it only appears on the individual's record when opening that record.  We have used Business Rules whether for one or more donors so that the message appears when entering a gift in batch.
  • We use a combination of a business rule and an annotation.  The annotation shows it for anyone looking at the record and the business rule makes it pop up when gift batching. I've included some screenshots of what we do.  Hope they are helpful.
