Stationary

Options
Hello I have created a new Stationary for Email messaging and it shows up in the library but when I select it it does not actually show up in the message when it is sent. The other one that is there (old image) shows up fine. What is the disconnect? Can someone advise? Thank you so much!!!  ~Kate

  • Hi Kate,

So you see your newly created stationary in Step 3. Stationary?

You select it and then click preview on your message and it is showing the old stationary?

    Is that correct?

    Thanks,

    Phil
  • It is now showing up in Step 3 but it is not showing in the message - neither in preview or in test. It is selected. I'm trying to find the disconnect. Thank you.

  • Is the stationery in the "General" security category?
  • Yes it is marked general when I go into the stationary.

  • I think the likely problem is how you coded the stationery.

    1. Make sure that all your images reference absolute not relative paths. That is all images in the stationery include the full URL.

    2. Email clients don't interpret HTML & CSS in accordance with the W3C standards so email must be coded according with the undefined "email standards" a lot of testing and adjustments may be necessary to the code based on the email client you are targeting.

    Hope this helps.
  • Thanks Elizabeth - that doesn't help me - I can't even see the full URL when I go that image, nor a place to plug it into the message from the message center. I wish it made more sense to me.
  • So what do you see when you Preview?

    Can you send some screenshots?
  • I am just seeing the text of the message - there is no banner at the moment - if i switch to a previous one it works - and I haven't been able to trace back a difference in the way they were set up. I keep trying to paste the screen shot here but it isn't working.

  • Can you copy/paste your code so we can see that?

You will probably have to save the screenshot and upload it.

    Thanks,

    Phil
